Random Art Thoughts: 12/14/2016

*The subtle shade Isa Genzken throws in her evasive yet sometimes enlightening interview on Artspace.

*The terrifying notion of Paddle8’s ambition to be the Internet’s art auction house. And the disappointing yet not surprising fact there are zero Black women on staff and 98% of the staff appear to be Millennials.

*Wondering why all the appointees on The Commission of Fine Arts are architects or landscape designers.

*Simultaneously intrigued and repelled by the elitism of The Cultivist concept and pondering whether, in an ideal world, art should be privately owned.
